On the Shoulders of Giants - UN, is a hybrid RP game set in a low-fantasy world, not quite unlike our own. The game draws many features from MUN while incorporating centres and areas for literate RP. While the core of the game still is, a United Nations-esque game fuelled by RP, game mechanics, both IC and OOC are included to provide a fair, balanced and interesting game for those coming seeking something closer to a board game, or even those who just require some level of structure.
The premise itself takes place in a world split threeway, with the defeat of the Hekion Pact to the Coalition, the three Coalition members find themselves elevated to de-facto superpowers and leaders of the world. The theory of self-determination and of the nation-state is slowly taking hold, all while the world struggles to reorient to a new, different geopolitical scene. The UN provides the mechanism for nations to air their grievances on the world stage, preserving the new order and preventing war.
