The year is 2026, Japan and the world has been through many hardships when it comes to the world of VR. The SAO Incident, the 300 players trapped in ALO, and the Death Gun murders of GGO.
Ever since it's start this world has always been tainted and has caused trauma to many of those who chose to partake in it. A new project arises though for those who were lucky enough to receive the message
Randomly, 20 survivors of the SAO incident would receive an invitation to a new project headed by "Rath" a private company that wished to advance VR technology and science itself further. This project was called Alicization and the agreement was simple. Stay in FullDive for an unspecified amount of time in order to test the machine.
Those who chose to enter would receive a big paycheck and the technology for free when it was released to the public.
Although none of them knew just how much was really going on behind the scenes.
