After the end of the series, the land of Equestria was a fairly peaceful and normal land for the better part of a few months, however as time went on, due to numerous global affairs and unchecked internal problems, the economy ended up hitting a recession. Following the recession and mass unemployment, Princess Twilight Sparkle, knowing she couldn’t fix the country, with the sudden absence of Princess Cadance, and the Crystal Empire in its own power struggle, Princess Twilight Sparkle called upon the creation of a parlament. A parliament composed of 100 seats, divided based on population for each region, to be filled with delegates to lead Equestria out of a recession and into a new glory. With the formation of brand new parties that will vie for control of parliament, Equestria will come upon their first election, the Election of 1009. In which parties will be awarded delegates based on which regions or species they won during campaigning.
