It's been many years since the widely reknowned Playtime Co. Toy Factory suddenly ceased all activity. An investigation was launched on the factory, as well as the various employees and executives, and their families. The house of the CEO, "Elliott Ludwig" had been searched and was found in ruin. Nobody was found guilty, and nobody was able to figure out what happened to the employees, not even the police. The case was dropped until ten years later, when word hit the town near the Factory that the corpse of a policeman was found who allegedly wandered too close the factory. Reports stated the body had been torn in half. This only reinstated everyone's fears of the factory, and nobody was willing to near it. Numerous rumors were spun up about it, and everyone decided it was best alone, until it was torn down by time...
