- The archons are dead, the original seven have fallen
- Teyvat has fractured and has become Khaenri'ah, the Godless World
- The land is lawless and ruled by the strong
- The Heavenly Principles is Paimon, the last remaining god with none of their original power left
- Paimon appears to those who have the potential (those who wish) to become gods
- The seats of the seven are open, it's free for the taking
- Anyone can rise up to be a god through lore conduct
- Gods and humans can claim a territory for themselves
- The world is still divided into seven major nations, but people can claim certain parts of land for themselves
